Tina Watanabe

I have been a Physical Therapist since 1991 and a Yoga Teacher since 2008. I received my PT degree from the Medical College of Georgia and have been a Hatha yoga student of Jeany Volk of Volk's Yoga and Pilates Studio in Newport, Oregon since 1998. In 2011, I also completed an 108 hour Anusara Immersion with Sandy Adler and Michele Bulgatz at Freedom Yoga and in 2015 Yoga Medicine's 200 Vinyasa Teacher Training with Tiffany Cruikshank. I have also attended workshops with Noah Maze, Alison Alstrom, Sianna Sherman, Desiree Rumbaugh, Amy Ippoliti, and Jill & Michael Knouse.

I love to teach body awareness, specific stretching & strengthening, relaxation, meditation, and breathing techniques in my fun, informative, and ever-changing Vinyasa style yoga class. My background in Physical Therapy allows me to create classes that are more in depth and informative. I aspire to help others  grow their personal yoga practice and love customizing and problem solving to help people create an individualized home practice.

When not teaching yoga or caring for my family, you can find me walking our dog Cosmo at the beach or on a nearby hike with friends. I love to travel and capture images of nature during my daily walking meditations.
